welcome

I am a psycho-dynamic psychotherapist trained licensed social worker, which is a long way of saying I work with people to meet them where they are in their journey and use our growing relationship as a safe ground to launch from into a healing place. I have worked with a spectrum of mental health issues, physical illnesses, trauma, as well as the occasional aches and pains of life.

Therapies are not all the same and making the distinction is important when looking to make a fit for yourself, especially when you are stepping into therapy for the first time. I am trained in Psycho-dynamic Psychotherapy and practice this at Walnut Psychotherapy Center. In this type of therapy we will focus on your unconscious and conscious thoughts, feelings and patterns as they are manifest in your present behaviors. The goals of Psycho-dynamic Psychotherapy are increased self-awareness, insight, and understanding the influence that your past has on your present behaviors. With this gained insight and awareness we can work together to examine your patterns and begin to shift, break and re-frame those patterns to help you live a life that is more free from your historical behaviors.

Do you find yourself struggling with relationships? Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, angry or sad about recent or past events in your life? This journey of life can sometimes be trying, difficult, and uncomfortable, but I believe that by meeting clients where they are and working together, we can create steps which will lead to a brighter future. I have a broad understanding of how to work with people and meet them exactly where they are on their personal journey. I look forward to working with you to untangle and pull strings from the past, create meaning in the present and make space for healing in the future.
